The Journalism School of Luiss Guido Carli University organizes an executive course in multimedia journalism, directed by Alessandro De Angelis. This program offers an experience designed to prepare professionals for the new challenges in journalism, information, and multimedia communication. Through interactive and practical lessons, you will acquire skills to master new technologies and analytical tools in the fields of information and communication. You will explore the latest digital trends and learn to use the most modern tools and platforms for creating and disseminating engaging multimedia content.

Course Objectives include training in multimedia storytelling, journalistic ethics, and strategic communication, aiming to provide an in-depth understanding of information and media mechanisms, including their interaction with and impact on society. You will develop skills in political journalism and digital writing, build analytical skills in source research, and learn to detect disinformation and political propaganda. Participants will gain an understanding of journalistic ethics and digital information, delve into issues related to privacy, data security, and freedom of the press, and study advanced strategies for influencing public opinion and managing corporate reputation. With the support of experts, professors, and industry professionals, participants will explore effective tactics to drive debate, create engaging narratives, and build strong relationships with the audience.

Students will be part of the Luiss alumni network which offers the opportunity to connect with former students. A valuable network of contacts for expanding one’s professional connections, mentoring and discovering opportunities for collaboration, as well as taking part in exclusive events, workshops, seminars and conferences covering a wide range of topics, such as the latest trends in the sector, the skills required by the job market or entrepreneurship. The course comprises 72 hours of face-to-face teaching and 10 university credits (CFU).

Methods of delivery

The executive course is delivered face-to-face in Rome at the Luiss premises in Viale Pola, 12; in classroom 10. For those who cannot physically attend, lessons are broadcast live on the Webex platform. Courses will be held on Fridays from 14.00 to 18.00 and on Saturdays from 9.00 to 18.00.

Application and Participation

Candidates with a three-year degree, a master’s degree, an old university degree or another university qualification obtained abroad and recognised as equivalent may be admitted to the Executive Course. Admission to the Executive Course is subject to a positive evaluation of the candidate’s curriculum.

In order to participate in the admission procedures, you need to fill in the online application by attaching the following documents:

Curriculum vitae.
Copy of identity document.
Certificate or self-certification of degree.
The registration fee is 3,000.00 Euro

Three full-coverage scholarships available
For this second edition, Luiss is offering three full-coverage scholarships (€3,000), which will enable three of the most deserving candidates to attend the course at no subscription cost

How to apply for scholarships?
It is very simple: there is no need for a separate application for scholarships. Everyone who registers for the course by 8 November 2024 will automatically be considered for the scholarship selection. Therefore, by completing your registration for the master’s course, you are automatically eligible to receive one of the three scholarships available

Selection Criteria
Scholarships will be awarded on a meritocratic basis, assessing candidates on the basis of their CV and an interview. Candidates who demonstrate the greatest talent, motivation and potential will be selected.
