Fifth Edition: February 7, 2025 – March 15, 2025
In the ongoing development of digital information media and the growth of online communities, sports journalism and communication are facing new dynamics and new players. The Executive Course in Sports Journalism, Digital Communication, and Data Analysis is a specialization program for those who wish to deepen their understanding of sports communication and multimedia, drawing on the teachings of leading editorialists and journalists from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sky Sport, Sport Week, la Repubblica, as well as executives from internationally recognized sports clubs and organizations. The Executive Course in Sports Journalism is organized by the Master in Journalism and Multimedia Communication, the Data Lab Research Center, in collaboration with the School of Government of Luiss Guido Carli University, and aims to:
- Provide a comprehensive and detailed overview of governance and emerging trends in the sports communication industry
- Provide the necessary techniques for writing a sports article and selecting sources
- Provide the tools to carry out live commentaries, radio commentaries, and sports interviews
- Provide the skills necessary to analyze sports data, algorithms, and techniques for aggregating sports data
- Analyze project-oriented communication models of a sports newsroom
The course awards a diploma upon completion and grants 8 university credits (CFU).
The executive course takes place over six weekends, on Fridays from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Classes will always be held in Room 10 of the Luiss Campus at Viale Pola 12, Rome (RM).

Delivery Method
The executive course is delivered in-person in Rome at the Luiss headquarters at Viale Pola, 12. For those who cannot attend physically, classes are streamed live on the Webex platform.
Application and Participation
Those holding a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, a degree from the old system, or any equivalent university qualification obtained abroad can participate in the selection process for the Executive Course. Admission to the Executive Course is subject to a positive evaluation of the candidate’s curriculum.

The registration fee is €1,600.00 to be paid in a single installment.
LUISS alumni, including those from postgraduate programs, will receive a 10% discount on the registration fee.
