Born in 1956. In 1981 he graduated in Statistical Sciences from La Sapienza in Rome, and then obtained a PhD at Columbia University in New York in 1987.
He is a specialist in macroeconomics, monetary economics, financial markets and the economic cycle, and has taught at the University of Naples Federico II (1992-1994), the University of Chieti “Gabriele d’Annunzio” (1994-1998) and La Sapienza (1998-2005). Since 2005 he has taught political economics at the LUISS “Guido Carli” in Rome, where he is also director of the research centre Center for Labor and Economic Growth.
Author of several books, he collaborates with Il Sole 24 ORE, with Lavoce.info and L’Unità.
