Nona Mikhelidze is a senior fellow at the Istituto Affari Internazionali. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa and a Master’s degree in “Regionalism: Central Asian and Caucasus Studies” from the Humboldt University of Berlin, where she was awarded a research fellowship by the Volkswagen Foundation. She also holds a degree in international relations from the Tbilisi State University. From 2017 to 2020, she directed the Eurasia Program at the Istituto Affari Internazionali. Since 2020, she has been writing for La Stampa about Russia and the post-Soviet space. Her interests include European Neighborhood Policy and Conflict Resolution in the South Caucasus, the Black Sea and Regional Cooperation, Turkey and the Caspian Region, and Russian Post-Soviet Foreign Policy.
