A professional journalist, he worked for 10 years in the Finegil dailies of the L’Espresso Group since 1991. An expert in the network, technology and innovation, he was one of the founders of Kataweb in 1999.

He became director of the monthly magazine Wired Italia for two years (2013-2015).

In 2015 he was the last journalist to interview Gianroberto Casaleggio before his death. In November of the same 2015 he was appointed co-director of the daily newspaper La Stampa with director Maurizio Molinari, and since July 2016 he has been the general director of the digital division of the Gruppo Editoriale L’Espresso.

From 2014 to 2018 he was part of the parliamentary commission for the drafting of an Internet Bill of Rights.

With the birth of the GEDI publishing group, he takes on the role of digital director of the new company Gedi Digital.

With GediDigital and 42º Parallelo between 2017 and 2018 he co-produced, among others, the docufilms: “Es17, Dio non manderà nessuno a salvarci” on the story of the leader of the Neapolitan children’s gang Emanuele Sibillo, by Conchita Sannino and Diana Ligorio, from an idea by Roberto Saviano; “Nove giorni al Cairo”, by Carlo Bonini and Giuliano Foschini, on the kidnapping, torture and killing of Giulio Regeni; “Un unico destino – Tre padri e il naufragio che ha cambiato la nostra storia” by Fabrizio Gatti, broadcast on Sky and Rai networks.

In December 2018 he moved to Hearst Corporation as digital director for Western European countries.

Since March 2021 he has been the director of Esquire Italia.

Since July 2021, he has also taken on the role of editor-in-chief of Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan
