Writer and investigative journalist, born in 1967 in Rome and graduated in jurassic studies at the University “La Sapienza”, he became a professional in 1991 in the editorial office of the newspaper “il manifesto” directed by Luigi Pintor. He lived in New York between 1996 and 1997, where he worked for the weekly “Newsweek” of which he was a collaborator from Europe until the end of the 1990s. From September 1997 to December 2000, he worked in Milan at the editorial office of the “Corriere della Sera”, which left to join “Repubblica” in January 2001. Since then, for “Repubblica”, he has signed some of the main investigations on power that have marked political life in recent years, as well as covering some of the main bloodthirsty acts that Islamist terrorism has committed since September 2001, in the US and Europe. Many of his investigations were the result of work with Giuseppe D’Avanzo. From some of his books (“The Flower of Evil”, “Acab”, “Suburra”) have been films and the recent series “Suburra” produced by Netflix.
