ZETA CHECK

Zeta, the news site of the “Massimo Baldini” School of Journalism at Luiss Guido Carli, is a supplement of Reporter Nuovo, a legally registered newspaper with the Court of Rome (Reg. Court of Rome No. 13/08 of January 21, 2008). Within it, a unit called Zeta Check has been established to verify facts and will regularly publish reports on the factual accuracy of statements made by public figures and institutions, as well as widely circulated claims in text, visual, and other formats, primarily focused on statements related to matters of public interest. Zeta Check aims to combat the phenomenon of misinformation through fact-checking the main news and content available online in Italy. The project does not support and is not supported by political parties or candidates in local or national elections and is committed to remaining neutral politically and not endorsing politically charged initiatives. Its editorial work is not controlled by the State, any political party, or political figure. The publication does not receive funding from state or political sources to carry out public service journalism. In its fact-checking activities, Zeta Check adheres to internationally recognized standards and specifically follows the Code of Principles established by the International Fact-Checking Network.
