Graduated in Philosophy, with a Master in Journalism from Luiss, she is a passionate connoisseur of the Italian food and wine tradition, a taster and food critic by profession, and a sommelier by passion.
She has been collaborating for fifteen years with the food sites of the Gedi group, from the original Kataweb Cucina to the current “Il Gusto”. She signs the newsletter “deGusto” for La Repubblica, is among the voices of Repubblica with the podcast “Questioni di Gusto” and collaborates with Italian and international magazines on the topics of agri-food and gastronomy.
For twelve years inspector for the Espresso guide I Ristoranti d’Italia, her travels and knowledge of the world’s cuisines have led her to head the Italian jury of the international Academy of the most prestigious global recognition for catering: The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Awarded as best food journalist for the Identità Golose Guide already in 2010, over the years she has been a guest on various TV programs: as an expert on Uno Mattina and La Prova del Cuoco, as a judge on Hell’s kitchen, Masterchef, and The Final Table on Netflix. She is also called upon to moderate debates, hold conferences and lessons in professional and university courses on the topics of food criticism and the history of gastronomy. With the book “Pasta Revolution” she was a finalist for the Bancarella Cucina award and “La Carbonara Perfetta” earned her first place at the CookBook Awards and the “Prix De La Littérature Gastronomique”, awarded by the Acadèmie Internationale de la Gastronomie.
