Born in Rome in 1960, she graduated with honors in Modern Literature at Sapienza University of Rome. She began her professional career during her university years, collaborating with newspapers and magazines (La Repubblica, Specchio Economico, Pagine), with the theater (image creation for the director Krzysztof Zanussi) and directing industrial documentaries, documentaries on organic farming and documentaries for the European Parliament.

She began collaborating with RAI in 1980, for the newly formed Rai Tre in cultural columns (with interviews, among others, with Natalia Ginzburg and Primo Levi); subsequently – from 1986 to 1989 – at Tg2 with the programs “Focus” and “Start” and for Rai2 with “Rosa e Chic”.

From 1989 to 2007 she worked at the Testata Servizi Parlamentari where, in 1999, she became Correspondent. In addition to services and investigations on Italian and European politics, she conducted live broadcasts from the Senate and the Chamber, the Political Tribunes, the newscasts and the column “Sette giorni al Parlamento”. She produced the official institutional documentaries of the Parliament on the history and functioning of the Chambers and on “Art in Montecitorio”.

As a correspondent, she has followed the main world summits (IMF, G8, G20) and the work of the EU institutions. She has also signed reports from European countries, North Africa, the Middle East, China and Russia with particular attention to the world of work, welfare, women and international relations.

In 2007 she moved to Tg1, in the “Politica” editorial team; in 2013 he began to follow the activity of the Head of State as a Quirinalist.

Commentator of the most important national and international events, from the birth of the Euro to the elections of many Presidents of the Republic, to the consultations for the birth of numerous governments.

In 2015, President Napolitano awarded her the honor of Ufficiale della Repubblica.

In 2018 she was appointed Deputy Director of Tg1, with the recognition of the qualification of Editor-in-Chief.

In May 2020, she was appointed Director of the RAI Giornale Radio newsroom – “GR1”, “GR2”, “GR3”, “GR Parlamento” – and Director of Radio Uno, the first woman to direct the main public service radio network and newsroom after over 90 years of history.

Furthermore, in April 2021, she was appointed Member of the Board of Directors of the PubblicitĂ  Progresso Foundation.
