Director of Rai Radio Tre. Born in 1958, professional journalist since 1990, he joined RAI in 1991 as editor of the Giornale Radio 2. In 1994, he was promoted to head of the Giornale Radio’s Politico Parlamentare editorial team. In March 1997 he was assigned to the TG1, where he was a parliamentary reporter and – from the following year – sent to accompany the President of the Council of Ministers.
In July 2001, as part of the political editorial staff of Telegiornale 1, he was appointed Deputy Editor and in May 2007 he was given responsibility for the editorial department with the recognition of his title of Editor-in-Chief. In September 2009 he was given the task of performing services by the Quirinal.
In January 2013 he was appointed Deputy Director of TG1 and responsible for the 20.00 edition: oversees the summary and the allocation of services and coordinates several Extraordinary editions of TG1, also on the occasion of the recent terrorist attacks, from the Bataclan to the massacre in Munich; he leads numerous TG1 specials and institutional direct Rai1 on international and Italian topics (including elections and economic crisis in Greece, Italian parliamentary and administrative elections, 150° of Unity of Italy); the new digital TG1 study is to be carried out.
In August 2016 he was appointed Director of the newspaper Giornale Radio, which includes Gr1, Gr2, Gr3, Gr Parlamento, and Director of Radio1.
In June 2017 he was appointed Director of the TG1. In November 2018 he was assigned to the direct report of the Managing Director. In May 2019 he will be appointed director of the Office of Studies.
