He is State Secretary at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers with a mandate in the field of information and publishing. Born in Pisa in 1972, he graduated in Modern Letters at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy of the University of Pisa. Professional journalist, he started his career in 1994, working with the newspaper “Il Tirreno”, then moved in 1999 to the Mediaset Group. He led the TG4 and was sent to Iraq, Albania, the United States, Tunisia, Bulgaria, Iceland, Germany and Spain.

Elected Senator of the Republic for the first time in 2018, he was President of the Commission of Surveillance RAI from 2018 to 2022.
